Your account
Delete your
Tapshore account
Remove your account and trusted devices, and end active remote sessions.
Request deletion without the app
Verify your account and request deletion
Start the account verification flow and choose the same sign-in method you used for Tapshore. Email verification links expire after ten minutes. After verification, review the request and confirm deletion within five minutes. Nothing is deleted merely by opening an email link. Once confirmed, the saved request continues in the background even if you close the page. A status receipt in the same browser can show progress for up to 90 days after confirmation. Account removal and connected-service cleanup may finish at different times. If you cannot use your original sign-in method, contact support for help; you do not need to reinstall the app.
Use the same sign-in method you originally used for Tapshore. An email address alone does not verify an Apple or Google account. If you need help, contact support and describe the problem; do not send a password, verification code, device secret or payment card details.
Delete from Tapshore
- Open Account in Tapshore.
- Choose Delete account and review the confirmation.
- Complete a fresh sign-in when requested to confirm that the account is yours.
- Confirm deletion. You can check progress in the app. A confirmed deletion request continues in the background even if you close it.
Uninstalling Tapshore or signing out does not submit an account deletion request.
What is removed
Tapshore ends active remote sessions and removes live trusted devices, pairings, sign-in identities, account sessions and subscription entitlements. Account deletion cannot be undone. After deletion is complete, signing in again creates a new account; it does not restore removed devices or pairings.
The service queues Apple authorization revocation and RevenueCat customer deletion separately and retries failed cleanup. A local sign-out or completed device cleanup does not mean every provider has already confirmed deletion.
What can remain
If you started or used a connection test, a keyed identity fingerprint is retained for 730 days from its record at deletion to prevent repeat use. A later record can extend that period. This fingerprint record does not contain your email, provider subject or account ID.
Deletion and recovery records are retained so interrupted requests can finish and status can be checked. Encrypted Apple authorization tokens are retained while revocation is pending and cleared after Apple confirms success.
Short-lived security records can remain after account access is removed. Request replay records have a ten-minute validity period; rate-limit counters use windows of up to 24 hours and are then eligible for cleanup. Expired room records are removed after the service confirms that access is closed. At account deletion, retained relay budget records lose their original account and connection links; they remain through the current calendar month or credential expiry, whichever is later. Subscription event references and content digests are retained to detect duplicate messages after the account link is removed; those audit records do not currently expire automatically. Support correspondence, operational logs and service-provider delivery records or backups have separate retention and may outlast live account deletion.
See the privacy policy retention section for cleanup timing and the full explanation.
Cancel a subscription separately
Account deletion does not stop app-store billing. You can delete your account without waiting for a subscription to end. To stop future renewal, manage the subscription in the store where you bought it:
Refund requests are handled through the relevant store and applicable consumer rights.
