Already have the phone app? Set up Tapshore on the Mac you want to use, then add it from your phone.

Using your phone? Open tapshore.com/download/ on your Mac to download and install the app.
The phone apps are not yet available in the App Store or Google Play. You will need the Tapshore phone app to connect.
Connect your Mac
- Install and open Tapshore on your Mac. Open the downloaded ZIP, move Tapshore to Applications, then open it. If Tapshore is already running, quit it before replacing the app.
- Add it from your phone. Sign in to Tapshore on your phone. On your Mac, choose to add it with your phone to display a code. On your phone, choose Add Mac, then Scan Mac code. Scan the code and approve your Mac.
- Allow viewing and control. Follow the Mac app's Screen Recording and Accessibility instructions. Turn on Remote Access when you are ready.
- Choose what to use. Select your Mac on your phone, connect, then choose an app and window. You can stop remote access from your Mac at any time.
macOS may ask you to confirm screen sharing again. Keep your Mac available so you can respond to permission requests.
If you sign in directly on both devices, use the same account and sign-in method.
Before you start
- A Mac running macOS 13 or later, kept awake and unlocked.
- Tapshore on your iPhone or Android phone.
- A working internet connection on both devices.
The Mac app is free. Eligible accounts get one 15-minute connection test. After that, remote access requires an active subscription purchased in the phone app.
Get setup help if your Mac does not appear or you need help with permissions.
